Become a Life Member

Join the Association of Clinical Pharmacologists (ACP) and become part of a national professional community committed to advancing clinical pharmacology, improving the rational use of medicines and strengthening patient-centred healthcare.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Life Membership is open to applicants (Indian Citizens only) after they have completed with the application formalities and paid the requisite fees, are eligible for the membership as per the following criteria, and the applications are approved by the Executive Committee.
  • The membership Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
    • Trained clinical pharmacologists (with DM/DNB degrees in clinical pharmacology from NMC recognized institutions),
    • Those currently pursuing the 3-year DM Clinical Pharmacology course (to be offered Provisional Membership that shall be switched to Full Life Membership, upon their successful completion of the DM course).
    • Pharmacology faculty (Associate Professors and Professors) engaged in teaching DM Clinical Pharmacology students for at least 3 years in a department running the DM Clinical Pharmacology course, & those who have made significant contribution in Clinical Pharmacology or have demonstrated abiding interests in Clinical Pharmacology domains (to be awarded Honorary Membership - they cannot take part in the electoral process).
  • After the application formalities are completed and the requisite fees paid, the Executive Committee shall consider approval of the application, and once approved, the applicant shall be enrolled as a Member.

Life Membership Fee

One-time life membership fee: ₹5,000

The fee stated above is based on the membership provision in ACP’s current bylaws. 

How to Apply

  1. Complete the Application

Fill in the prescribed ACP membership application form and provide the personal, professional and academic information requested.

  1. Submit Supporting Details

Submit the application along with the documents specified by ACP, including proof of the applicant’s relevant professional qualification.

  1. Application Review

The Secretary places eligible applications before the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is authorised to approve or reject applications for membership. 

  1. Pay the Membership Fee

After completing the prescribed application process, pay the applicable one-time life membership fee through the payment method communicated by ACP.

  1. Membership Confirmation

Following approval and verification of payment, the applicant’s details will be entered in the official membership register and confirmation will be communicated by ACP.

Important Information

  • Submission of an application does not automatically confer membership. 
  • Membership is subject to eligibility verification and approval by the ACP Executive Committee. 
  • Applicants must comply with the Society’s Memorandum, Rules and Regulations. 
  • ACP may request additional information or documents while reviewing an application. 
  • The decision of the Executive Committee regarding admission will be final, subject to the Society’s governing rules.
